Ronald James Littrell

Ronald James Littrell, 81, Ft. Worth, Texas, beloved husband and best friend of Alessandrina (Sandra) Littrell of 59 years; passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones he laughed with, lived for and loved on October 30, 2017.

Ronald was born in Lubbock, Texas on June 26th, 1936. He graduated high school in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He spent 21 years as Security Police Officer in the United States Air Force until he retired at Carswell Air Force Base in June 1977. Ronald lived a full, rich and happy life which he was fortunate enough to spend with the love of his life.

He was predeceased by his parents, Rashell Ray and Olis Beatrice Littrell; his brother, Bill Littrell; and his sister, Delores (Dee) Finley.

Besides his wife Sandra, Ronald is survived by his two children, Maria Grazia Littrell of Ft. Worth, TX and Mark Linn Littrell of Colorado Springs, Co; his grandchildren: Sharon O’Campo, Christy Bartlett, James Ladd and Misty Warmouth; his great grandchildren: Mary Kay, Christopher, Talon, Hunter, Justin, Jordan, Josh, Joey and Miley; his great-great grandchildren: Wyatt, Arya and Willow; his brother: Harold Littrell; his sister: Shirley Dunaway; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the members of Universal Health Services Hospice Division. Their dedication and effort to provide quality care over the past couple weeks were a heartwarming blessing to the entire family. We thank God for the gift of his life and the blessing of the time we spent with him.

The viewing will be held on Sunday, November 5th, 2017 from 5-8pm. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, November 6th, 2017 in the Abbey Chapel at Resthaven Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at https://act.alz.org in tribute to Ronald.
