Ruth was born on Sunday, December 19, 1920, in Putnam, Texas, to the late William Henry and Flora Belle (Ivy) McMillan. She was married to Billie Hall Walls, who preceded her in death in 1980. She was a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ.
Those left to cherish her memories include three daughters: Billy Hackney of Lubbock, Gwen Walls of Gatesville, and Katy Worley of Gatesville; a son, David Walls of Lubbock; 14 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.
