Ryan was born in Lawton OK at Fort Sill AFB to Mike and Linda Sperry on January 10, 1976. He graduated from Cache High School in Cache OK.
Ryan was a hard headed man who grew up tough. He didn't have the easiest run through life but he kept pushing with everything he had in him. He had the strongest will to keep fighting so he could watch and be involved in his family’s life.
Ryan was an avid fisherman and hunter, he loved anything to do with being outdoors. He loved the PBR and anything that had to do with being a cowboy. He truly loved making food as well. Always had the Food Network going on in the background.
Ryan was an experienced welder and truly enjoyed that line of work. He was also a 911 dispatcher for many years and he loved the excitement that came with that job. He had great stories to share all the time.
Ryan is survived by his daughter Tessa Sperry, his grandson Mason both of Lubbock, Tx., his brother Aaron Sperry and his family of Lawton OK, his father Mike Sperry and his wife of Grand Prairie Tx., his mother Linda Sperry of Billings MO, his maternal grandmother Rose Chapman of Lawton, OK., his aunts Susan Chapman and Robin Crawford both Lawton OK., and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held October 6, 2020 at 11a.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home in Lubbock, Tx.
There's a hundred years of history and a hundred before that, All gathered in the thinkin goin on beneath this hat. The cold flame burns within him Til his skin's as cold as ice and the dues he's paid to get here are worth every sacrifice. All the miles spent sleepy drivin all the money down the drain. All the if l's and nearly's all the bandages and pain. All the female tears left dryin, all the fever and the fight are just a small down payment on the ride he makes tonight. Its guts and love and glory, one mortal's chance at fame. His legacy is rodeo, and Cowboy is his name.
