In 1954 he graduated from Hale Center. On March 27, 1960 he married Wanza Beth Howard; they had two children.
He served in the U.S. Army for over two years and was honorably discharged on June 30, 1962.
Sammy Dale worked as a plant manager for several seed companies before starting his own commercial janitorial service in 1972 which he owned and operated until he retired in 2020.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Wanza; parents; brothers, Dwane and Billy; sisters: Gweneth, Carol, Mary Sue and Nannie.
He is survived by his brother, Bobby; son, Britt (Dina) Brewer; daughter, Samantha (Jeff) Fry; grandchildren: Heather Brewer, Sammy (Corey) Miller, Whitney (Morgan) Crabtree and Mystirie Stevens; great-grandchildren Adrienne, Jett, and Callan.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 20, 2021 in Resthaven's Abbey Chapel.
Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 21, 2021 at Monterey Baptist Church, 3601 50th Street. Livestream will be available on Resthaven's Facebook.
