Sheila was married to Terry Forkner on February 10, 1979. She received her degree from South Plains College in Child Development and ran a daycare for the Roosevelt community. After 20 years of serving the community, Sheila began a dog bed company with her sister-in-law, Shere Forkner Dickey. During this time, Sheila and Shere got to spend time together making great friends and traveling across the country. Once finished traveling, she began making welding caps. Even during the pandemic, she shifted focus to making COVID masks. There is no doubt that her passion was to serve others, but nothing compared her love for her grandchildren.
She adored her grandchildren and welcomed everyone with an open door and open arms. Sheila loved to bake and made every holiday better. Her warm smile, endless love, and affection will be missed by so many. Let us remember Sheila in all the good that we experience for the rest of our lives.
She was preceded in death by Olga Ormsbee, Rose Marie Ormsbee, and Kenny Forkner. She is survived by her father, Ken Ormsbee; husband Terry Forkner; children and grandchildren: (Forkner) Kurt, Jonathan, Faith, Aiden, Zacc, Texie, Christopher, Sterlynn, Skylar, Case, and Scarlet, her brothers Michael, Scott, and Tony Ormsbee and her sisters Nancy Duecker and husband Don Duecker, Jeanie Harvey and husband Coy Harvey.
Funeral arrangements will be held at 10AM, July 26th , at Resthaven Chapel. There will be visitation Monday evening from 6pm to 8pm at Resthaven.
