Sydney E. "Becky" Hall

Becky Hall, 87, of Lubbock, passed away on Friday May 30, 2014 at Covenant Hospital. Visitation will be held today June 1, 2014 from 2:30pm- 4:30pm at Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral Service is set for Monday June 2, 2014 at 10:00 am at Sunset Church of Christ in Lubbock. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 pm at Littlefield Memorial Park in Littlefield, Texas.

She was born August 23, 1926 in Wingate, Texas to Sidney G. and Ivy Pearl Pace.

She married Thomas Winston Hall in Littlefield on May 31, 1957. To this union was born Shawn Winston Hall and Thomas David Hall.

Becky graduated from Littlefield High School and Texas Tech University. She received her B.S. degree in Home Economics Education from TTU and a M.S from Texas A&M.

She did post graduate work for professional improvement at Colorado State University, West Texas State University and took mini-courses from Texas A&M University.

She taught Home Economics at Littlefield High School for three years, served as County Home Demonstration Agent in Howard County 4 years and Briscoe County for 18 months. She served 10 years as County Extension Agent for Randall County.

She received The Distinguished Service Award for Leadership and outstanding service in food and fiber abundance Appreciation exhibit of Randall County.

She was preceded in death by her husband Winston (April 1988); her parents and 5 siblings.

She is survived by her two sons Shawn and David; four siblings, Lehman Jones of Littlefield, Ron Pace of Littlefield, Sherry and husband Bill Johnson of Houston, Judith and her husband Dale of Levelland; numerous nieces, nephews and enumerable friends.
