Sylvia Ramos LUBBOCK-Sylvia Ramos Chia, 59, of Lubbock went to be with her Lord on Sept. 29, 2013. Rosary service for Sylvia Ramos will be recited at 7 p.m. today at Resthaven Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with burial to follow at Peaceful Gardens Cemetery. She was born in Lubbock on Sept. 19, 1954. Sylvia worked at and retired from Furr's Cafeteria. Sylvia was preceded in death by her sister, Gloria Ramos. Survivors include her parents, Max and Clara Ramos of Lubbock; her sister, Herlinda Sanchez of Pasenda, Texas; her brother, Gilberto Ramos of Austin, Texas; daughter, Michelle Silva; and son, Steven Sauceda; she has eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, Sylvia's family and friends were blessed by her love, and her memory will continue to be a blessing to all who knew her.
