Twila Forbes

Twila (Cagle) Forbes, 74, of Lubbock, passed away suddenly, after suffering a stroke, on December 19, 2016. She was born and raised in Lubbock and graduated from Monterrey High School in 1960. She obtained both a Bachelors and Masters Degree from Texas Tech University and a second Masters

Degree from Wayland Baptist University.

She married Terry R. Forbes on October 3, 1964 in Lubbock. Twila taught school at the elementary level in Ropesville and also for LISD where she was also a Reading Specialist and a Librarian.

Her faith was very important to her and she was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Lubbock. For the last 18 years, she was a member of New Horizon Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, served on several committees, and played various musical instruments.

Twila is survived by her husband, Terry of Lubbock, a son; Shawn (Margie) Forbes of Wolfforth, two grandchildren; David and Emily Forbes of Wolfforth, a brother; Gene (Donna) Cagle of Irving, TX, several nieces and nephews and many other relatives.
