

Wanda Jo Hollar Means, 87 of McKinney TX (previously of Lubbock, TX) passed away February 6th, 2015 at her residence. She was born July 25, 1927 in Plainview, TX to Eskell and Dora Bolles. She married Louis Alvin Hollar Jr, Dec 8, 1945 and he preceded her in death on Oct 17, 1998 after 54 years of marriage. She married Charles Monroe Means, Dec 7, 1999 and after making Lubbock their home for 11 years, he died Nov 18, 2010.
Wanda worked at Texas Tech Building Maintenance for 20 years, retiring in 1987. She was a member of Bacon Heights Baptist Church and the Billy Sims Hub City Wheels Motor Club. Her hobbies included gardening, reading and traveling.
Wanda is survived by sons, Donnie Ray Hollar and wife Janice of Palm Beach Garden, Fl, Larry Glenn Hollar and wife, Penny of McKinney, TX, stepson, Dennis Charles Means and wife Cindy of San Antonio, TX, sisters, Gale Ivey and husband Glen of Lubbock TX and Ellen May of Plainview, TX, grandchildren, Stacey Hollar, Kelly Bear and husband Boyna, Mike Hollar and Adam Bingham and wife Minh Thu, sister-in-law, Dora Jean Burch and special friend Richard Brooks and family of McKinney, TX. She was also predeceased by her brother Dale Bolles of Plainview.
Visitation will be at 11 am at Resthaven Funeral home in Lubbock, TX with the service following in the Resthaven Chapel at 1 pm on Monday, Feb 8, 2015
