Wanda was born in Lamar County, Texas to Andrew and Eulala Adams on May 5, 1940. Wanda attended High School at Lubbock High.
She met the one and only love of her life, Kenneth Sprawls, in the 1960's at the Palace Roller Rink in Lubbock, Texas, and stayed by his side until his passing on May 10, 1995. For many years, Wanda worked in the public school cafeterias for Aramark. She was a dedicated employee and rarely missed work. Wanda enjoyed helping out by donating to Meals on Wheels and giving to people who were in need. Wanda had a passion for roller skating, playing bingo, getting together with family, and buying and collecting jewelry. In her free time, she enjoyed trying to keep her baby brother in line and making her morning stops to McDonald's for biscuits and gravy.
Wanda opened her home many times to family that needed a helping hand, somewhere to lay their head while in town, or to take care of loved ones who were ill and never expected anything in return. Wanda may have seemed rough around the edges, but she was very caring, had a lot of love to give and always made sure family was taken care of, first and foremost. She was loved by many and will truly be missed.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Sprawls; sisters Adell Barker and Sandra Tyree; brothers Roland Adams, Elmer Adams, Delmer Adams, John D. Adams, and Larry Adams.
She is survived by her brother Gary Adams and his wife Carol, as well as a multitude of nieces and nephews.
