

Wendell Edward Huddleston, 84, of San Antonio and formerly of Lubbock, passed away June 12, 2016 in San Antonio. He was born February 7, 1932 in Grassland, Texas. Wendell graduated from Tahoka High School and then earned a Bachelor Degree and Master’s Degree in Education from Texas Tech University. He proudly served in the US Army.
He married Frances Dee Copeland June 29, 1956 they lived in Andrews and Big Spring until settling in Lubbock in 1968. Wendell had a career in Education for Andrews, Big Spring and Lubbock Independent School Districts. He was a member of the Texas Classroom Teachers Association and the Lubbock Classroom Teacher Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Jefferson and Zilliah Ward Huddleston; sister, Betty Huddleston Foster; brother, Garland Huddleston; Son-in-Law, Jose Jaramillo.
He is survived by; his wife, Frances; sons Jeff and wife Shelby; Rob and wife Phyllis; daughter, Nancy Jaramillo; Grandchildren, Michael Huddleston and wife Stefanie; Andrew Huddleston; Wills Huddleston and Vivian Huddleston; and three great-grandchildren.
Serving as Pallbearers will be; James Foster, Dr. Joe Huddleston, Jerry Foster, Walter Hollis Webb, III, Michael Huddleston, Andrew Huddleston, Scott Duran, Danny Satsky and Johnny Foster.
