Willie May Taylor

She was a resident of Lubbock from 1939 to 1998, then a resident of Midland until the present. Recognized as a godly student of the Scriptures, she has read the Bible through 68 times, and had attended Lubbock Bible Church, Grace Chapel, and Cornerstone Bible Church. She earned credentials as a dietitian, and worked variously at Mackenzie Junior High School, Coronado High School, and Texas Tech University.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Taylor; a son, Paul Edwin Taylor; a son-in-law, Don Edwards; grandchildren Jeannine Taylor and Cory Taylor; and by three sisters and five brothers.

She is survived by a sister, Helen Parker of Atlantic Beach, Florida; by children Elizabeth Edwards of Richardson; Sylvia and Ray Westbrook of Shallowater; Gary and Sue Taylor of Lubbock; Glenda and Eddie Upchurch of Midland; by grandchildren Donna and Sam Roybal ; Pam Edwards; Brian and Olivia Edwards; David Westbrook; Melette and Jay Pearce; Roger Taylor; Debbie and Mark Whitten; Kevin and Kim Taylor; 14 great- grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She is also survived by daughter-in-law Louise Taylor of Lubbock.

Services will be held at 1 pm on Monday, November 28, 2016 in Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park, in Lubbock, TX. Online condolences may be made at www.resthavenfuneralhome.com.
