Jolene Chambliss

Jolene Chambliss departed this life into God’s presence on Thursday, February 5, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on March 7, 1941, in Lamar County, Mississippi, to Mark and Irene Parker Lowe.

From an early age, Jolene devoted her life to her home and family, embracing her roles as a wife, mother, and homemaker. She was a lifelong member of Caney Baptist Church, where her faith guided her throughout her life. Jolene loved music and was known for playing the piano both at home and at church, often singing alongside her brothers. She was a kind woman with a playful spirit, bringing laughter to her family through her good-natured teasing and lively personality. She also found great joy in sewing and shared that joy with those she loved.

In addition to her parents, Jolene was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Maurice Chambliss; her brothers, Lionell Lowe, James A. Lowe, Lesley Lowe, and Shirley Ray Lowe; and her sisters, Lavada V. Lowe and Vernice Dearman.

She is survived by her daughter, Nena Chambliss White (Baxter); her sons, Chad Chambliss and Garren Chambliss (Lavinia); her grandchildren, Christopher Chambliss (Julie), Cheyene Chambliss, Whitney Chambliss Breland (Jon), Melissa White Jordan (Will), and Brock White (Megan); her great-grandchildren, Eric Chambliss, Daltin Chambliss, Kadence Chambliss, Lilly Parker Breland, John Reece Breland, Marion Jordan, Will Darcy Jordan, Max Jordan, Rhett White, and Lainey White; and her sister-in-law, Nelda Jean Lowe.

Visitation will be held at Caney Baptist Church on Monday, February 9, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Caney Baptist Church on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with interment to follow at Caney Baptist Church Cemetery, with Christopher Chambliss, Brock White, Eric Chambliss, Daltin Chambliss, Will Jordan, and Jon Breland serving as pallbearers.
