Mrs. Mary Kay Speed

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 11, 2012, at Olive Baptist Church, Lumberton for Mrs. Mary K. Speed, 81, of Lumberton, Mississippi who died Friday, August 10, 2012 in the Pearl River County Nursing, Poplarville. Brother Brad Miles and Brother Kyle Jones will officiate at the service Burial will follow in Byrdline Cemetery.

Mrs. Speed was a retired Nurse’s Aide with the Lumberton Citizen’s Hospital and a member of Olive Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ross and Pearl Cameron Reyer; her husband, JamesA. Speed; five sisters and four brothers.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Betty Hendrix and her husband Terry; one son, Bill Speed and his wife Karen, all of Lumberton, MS; four grandsons, Trampas Hendrix, Lance Hendrix, Matthew Speed, and Josh Speed; and three great-grandchildren, Blaine Speed, Kaitlyn Hendrix, and Kamryn Hendrix.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Olive Baptist Church, 30 Olive Church Road, Lumberton, Mississippi 39455.

Pallbearers will be Paul Baxter, Kenny Russell, Doug Reyer, Charles Russell, Ross Marshall, and Eric Cooper.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Olive Baptist Church Building Fund.
