Gade Marie Hutaff was born to the great joy of Phil and Lin Hutaff in Raleigh, NC, on April 11, 1979, four days before Easter Sunday. Gade was a precious and precocious child who showed her wit, insight and intelligence throughout her life.
At age three she loved her Commadore 64 computer and traveling by plane to see friends and relatives. She attended the O'Neal School from Kindergarten through Grade 6 and enjoyed many happy adventures with her good friend Gabriel Miller-Messner. Gade loved tennis and deep sea fishing, but Golf not so much. Her great passion was participating in local plays. She was in the cast of "Annie" twice under the direction of Ed and Anita Lilliard and played Amaryllis in "Music Man" at the Sunrise Theater in Southern Pines. Gade also had a leading role in "Amanda at Atwater Square" a play written and produced as the first fund raiser for the Moore Regional Hospital "Little People's Village", the current Day Care Center for Hospital Employees.
At age seven Gade received her First Holy Communion at Sacred Heart Church. There were only five communicants and Gade was the only girl. This earned her the honor of Crowning the Blessed Virgin Mary on Mother's Day. Gade attended CCD at Maryhurst and played an Angel in the Sacred Heart CCD Christmas program.
Gade loved Music. After receiving her Batchelor's degree in Marketing and Accounting from Columbia College Chicago, she sought the Music Industry for her career. Her favorite position was at Carrot Top Records in Chicago where she was a Marketing Representative for Label and Music Distributors.
Above all Gade loved family and was always there for all of us. She was always with her family for the Holidays. She shared a particularly close relationship with her Aunts and Uncles: Dr. and Mrs. Patrick O'Connor, Dr. and Mrs. Bradley Martin, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas McClimans, Mr. John A. Gentile and her cousins: Patrick O'Connor, Keith Cashman, Melinda McClimans and Margo McClimans.
Gade and her brother Griggs are the love of our life. Our hearts are with her in Heaven.
