She was born on April 27, 1929 in Robeson County, NC to the late Frank and Verna Parnell.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Biggs Funeral Home in Lumberton.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Biggs Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton.
Mrs. Patterson is survived by her daughter, Charnell Tickel and her husband William; son, Craig Patterson and his wife Susan; son, Dan Patterson; five grandchildren, Aaron Tickel, Rebecca Tickel, Brooke Patterson, Derek Patterson and his wife Shelly, and Johnny Stephens; and five great-grandchildren.
