Rosemary Simon Luquette

Rosemary Simon Luquette, age 91, passed away at her home in Lutcher on Wednesday, October 26, 2012. Native of Vacherie, member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Paulina, member of the Catholic Daughter’s and Altar Society.

She is survived by her son, David Luquette and daughters: Rosemary Bolotte, Marilyn Ourso, Eileen Luquette, Wanda Millet and Barbara Simpson. Brothers: Raymond and Nolan Simon and sisters: Margaret Mary Hotard and Lucille Gendron. Eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Joseph Luquette, Sr., parents: Sophie Marie Heltz Simon and Omer Simon. Son, Larry Luquette, Jr., brothers: Gaston, Elmore, and Willie Simon, sisters: Odette Simon and Rosalie Bacas. Baby boy Luquette and grandson, Larry Ourso, Jr.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2012 from 9:00 am until 10:45 am at Most Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Main Street, Gramercy, LA. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am at the church with Fr. Ed Fuss celebrant with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Paulina, La.

Arrangements are under the direction of H. C. Alexander Funeral Home in Lutcher.
