Wayne Smokey "Smokey" Michael Lear

Wayne “Smokey” Michael Lear entered into eternal rest away on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 12:21 AM. Age 57 years and a lifelong resident of Lutcher, LA. Beloved son of Mildred Brignac Lear and the late Onezime “Rat” Lear. Brother of Robert “Bobby” Lear (Kay), Eric Lear (Melinda), Ronald “Ronnie” Lear (Catherine), Chris “Cobra” Lear, Jason “Link” Lear, Mary Eileen Lear and the late Alice Lear Roussel (Late Ernie Roussel). Paternal grandson of the late James and Lillian Schexnayer Lear. Maternal grandson of the late Norman Sr., Beatrice Hymel Brignac. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. Wayne was a member of the K of C Council #1817 and The Lutcher Quarterback Club. He was an avid Lutcher Bulldogs Fan and enjoyed karaoke and fishing with his family and friends. The Lear family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Kathy Lear for the special care she gave Wayne and a special thanks to Easter Seals and Care. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2130 Rectory Lane, Paulina, LA on Monday, January 13, 2014 after 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM. Followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Paulina, LA., followed by a bereavement gathering at the Lutcher Knights of Columbus Home.
