

Alma Hudson Lambert, 85, of Lynchburg, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Virginia Baptist Hospital, surrounded by her family. Twice married she was the loving wife of her first husband, the late Jesse Clabern Hensley and her second husband, the late Oscar Harrison Lambert.
Born on February 7, 1930 in Kanawha County, WV, she was the daughter of the late John Howard Hudson and Cora Myrtle Blair Hudson.
Alma was of the Baptist faith. She was an avid reader and enjoyed animals, watching the news, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Alma is survived by her children, C. E. Hensley and wife Connie, Helen Sue Dube and husband Roland, and Betty Elaine Cyrus and husband Walter; grandchildren, Normand Dube and wife Kim and son Ryan, Lisa Worley and husband Raleigh and children Renae and David, Michael Hensley and fiancé Kimberly and his son Nathaniel, Christopher Hensley, and April Siever and husband Richard and their children Jacob, Logan, and Sarah.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and staff at Centra Hospice for their excellent care and support of Alma during her illness.
A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Spring Hill Cemetery, with Rev. Pastor Monty Fox officiating.
