

Born in Lynchburg, July 19, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Grover C. Tucker and Willie Woody Tucker. She was retired from Kroger’s with over 25 years of service.
In addition to her husband and parents, one brother, Charles E. Tucker; two sisters, Frances Tucker Jones and Dorothy Tucker Conway and one granddaughter, Gail Arrington Kidd, preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons, William C. “Bill” Arrington of Forest, and Carl W. Arrington of Lynchburg; one daughter, Patricia A. Kidd of Lynchburg; three sisters, Phyllis T. Stein and her husband Tony of Chesapeake, Helen T. Smith and Viola T. Taylor both of Winter Park, FL; eight grandchildren, Mark A. Arrington, Steven T. Kidd, Debra Johnson, Sherrie Holler, Glenda Jennings, Rhonda Helms, Annette Mays and Janet Jones; two step-granddaughters, Karen Vaughan and Brenda Allen; 12 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 8, 2011 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Rev. John Kinnard officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Because Annie loved animals, the family requests those wishing to make memorial contributions to please consider the Humane Society in either Lynchburg or Bedford.
