Barbara Perry Loving

Born on October 31, 1949, in Lynchburg, Virginia, Barbara was the daughter of the late Willie Perry and Lucille Ragland. She was also preceded in death by her brother-in-law, James Williams.

Barbara was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Lynchburg. She found great joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially fishing, a pastime she truly loved and was well known for being quite good at. Many happy days were spent fishing alongside her husband. Barbara also enjoyed yardwork and mowing her grass, took pride in caring for her chickens, and had a special love for birds and tending to them.

She is survived by her loving husband of over 33 years, Daryl W. Loving; her three sons, Michael Lucado (Jennipher), Matthew Lucado (Sharon), and Christopher Lucado (Cristina); her stepson, Brandon Loving (Tori); one brother, Willie Perry Jr. (Carolyn); two sisters, Becky Freeman (Mike) and Roxanne Williams; six grandchildren; and seven nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Whitten Timberlake Chapel, with Pastor Phillip Bailey officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Barbara’s honor to the Centra Alan B. Pearson Regional Cancer Center, 1701 Thomson Drive, Unit 200, Lynchburg, VA 24501.
