

Beverly “Beah” Ann Heckerman Thomas of Lynchburg passed away on Saturday June 22nd. She was surrounded by the love and tears of her family as she began her journey to heaven. Beverly is survived by her husband of 45 years, Larry Wayne Thomas.
“Beah” loved her children and family with all her heart and was often known to take in anyone in need. She was an excellent cook, had a wonderful sense of humor, loved animals, old movies, dancing and soul music.
She leaves to mourn her children, Samantha Thomas (spouse Bev Moudy) of Gretna, VA and Brandon Thomas (fiance’ Michelle Maynor) of Norfolk, VA, her brother Douglas Heckerman, sister Jeannie Thompson, and brother-in-law Malcolm Thompson all of Lynchburg. Beverly was the proud “Gannie” to eight grandchildren: Dakota Thomas, Kaylin Moseley, Brianne Thomas, Jackie Fisher III, Brooklyn Thomas, Charlotte Fisher, Bradley Thomas and Zachary Thomas. Also surviving are nieces Ashley Nichols of Madison Heights, VA and Charlene Heckerman of Delaware; nephews Kelly Heckerman of Crew, VA, Steven Heckerman of Delaware, and countless other cousins, family, and friends that she’s touched along the way.
Beverly was preceded in death by her brother Steve Heckerman and parents Leroy Heckerman and Charlotte Crank.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel, with Pastor Mack Almond officiating. Interment will follow at Tree of Life Cemetery.
