Carolyn Cantrell Hepler

Born March 3, 1954, in Waynesboro, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Louise Carr Cantrell. She was also preceded in death by her son, Barret Hepler.

Carolyn graduated from Radford College with a bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology. She worked as a speech therapist for the Bedford County School System followed by 9 years teaching pre-k at Timberlake Christian School. She most recently was working for C.A. Tooling.

In addition to her husband, survivors include her daughter, Kendra Hepler Tanner and her husband Chase, of Forest; two sisters, Wanda Crafton and husband Robert, of Summerville, SC, and Judy Cantrell, of Culpepper; her beloved grandchild, Lydia Tanner, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m., Monday, February 7, 2011, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel, and at other times at the residence of her daughter.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at Timberlake Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Virginia Memorial Park.
