Charles Newton Daniel, 74, of Rice passed away Saturday, December 5, 2015, at the Centra Southside Community Hospital. Born April 1, 1941, he was the son of the late Alex Newton Daniel and the late Dorothy Smith Daniel.
Charles was a resident at the Central Virginia Training Center for many years. He also enjoyed living in several group homes and host homes in the Lynchburg area over the years. He leaves behind many friends at Helton House in Rice, Va where he was currently living.
A funeral service will be conducted, 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 11, 2015, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Rev. D. Jack Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held one half hour prior to the service from 1:30 p.m.-2:00p.m. at the funeral home.
