Christian Scott Scruggs

Christian “Scottie” Scott Scruggs, 26 of Lynchburg, passed away on Monday April 15, 2024. Scottie was born in Lynchburg on October 8, 1997, son of Rodney Wayne Scruggs and Crystal Dawn May. He was proceeded in death by his grandmother, Helen Idel Martin. Scottie was a loving person, with a very big heart. Anyone he met wouldn’t leave without a smile, Scottie made impeccable impressions on anyone he ever met in his lifetime. He had such a big heart that Xena (his pit bull) was his best friend. To whom knew him personally, they’d all tell you the same, they’d all tell you “Scotty 2 hotty” was a wonderful human being. Scottie struggled with battles such as mental health, and addiction, however, he never let these things stop him from being the genuine person he always was. Scottie loved to cook, he was always making new things in the kitchen. Scottie endured many things that nobody should ever have to deal with, but he lived his life the way he wanted to. He never cared about what people had to say about him, he was always just him. Scottie was one of the people you could tell anything to and he’d never tell a soul, he would always have your back, didn’t matter what the situation was. Scottie will be dearly missed, forever. He will always be loved and cherished in the time to pass. He may be gone, but he’ll never be forgotten. May this sweet angel finally rest in peace. Left to cherish his memory in addition to his parents Rodney and Crystal are his stepfather, David Allen Phelps; sisters Hannah “Baby Sista” Lee Marie Phelps, Destiney Scruggs, Alexandra Ellis; brothers, Tristian Scruggs & Adam Durant; aunts Kimberly “Penny” Renee May, Helena “Lena” Michelle Johnson, Jessica “Jessie” Williams; an uncle, William “Willie” Ashby May; grandmother, Patricia “Nana Brown” Anne Brown and his grandfather’s Norman “Papa Brown” Allen Brown and Greg May. The family will receive friends from 3-5 on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
