Clarence Earl Harris

Born August 1, 1922 in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late George Cleve Harris and Lizzie Harris Harris. Mr. Harris was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, retired from First Colony Insurance, and was a member of Beulah Baptist Church.

He is survived by two sons, Michael E. Harris and his wife, Cheryl and Scott L. Harris both of Colorado and a sister Beatrice H. Penny of Lynchburg.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Rev. Brian Seay and Robert DeLong officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer Assoc. P.O. Box 823 Lynchburg, VA 24505, or Centra Hospice 3300 Rivermont Ave. Lynchburg, Va 24503

Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time Thursday.
