Colleen Smith Beckloff

Colleen Smith Beckloff, 73, of Lynchburg, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015, at Virginia Baptist Hospital. She was the wife of 51 years to Richard Terry Beckloff. Born December 19, 1941, in St. Paul, MN, she was the daughter of the late William Glen Smith and the late Mildred Jensen Smith.

Colleen was a retired secretary for Liberty University, and she was a member of Rivermont Evangelical Presbyterian Church for 30 years. Colleen loved Jesus Christ as her Savior and Lord.

In addition to her husband, Colleen is survived by her children, Jonathan E. Beckloff and his wife Karen of Charlotte, NC and Deborah B. Bauerle and her husband Rob of Baltimore, MD; two brothers, William Smith and his wife Portia of Centralia, WA and Roger Smith of Ames, IA; six grandchildren, Shannon Beckloff, Bryan Beckloff, Greta Bauerle, Kirk Bauerle, Karl Bauerle and Daniel Bauerle; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 14, 2015, at Rivermont Evangelical Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Clay Smith officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the American Cancer Society or the Rivermont Evangelical Presbyterian Church Mission.
