Born April 12, 1935 in Lynchburg, he attended E.C. Glass High School, was a 47 year employee of Southern Air and served in the US Army and Army National Guard.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jean Farthing Walker; two sons Barry Walker of Lynchburg, Darrell Walker and his wife Suzanne of Lynchburg, three grandchildren Allison Seay Walker, Brooke Stratton and her husband Brent of Appomattox and Holton Walker of Lynchburg, two great-grandchildren, Ashton and Walker Stratton.
A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
