Daniel Ryan Sheedy

Daniel was born in Rocky Mount, NC February 2, 1996. He was a 2014 graduate of Holy Cross Regional Catholic School and was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. From the age of three, Daniel had a passion for playing soccer. He played throughout his childhood and later played while attending Holy Cross. Daniel loved his family and had especially great relationships with his siblings and cousins.

He is survived by his mother, Maureen Sheedy-Morris and her husband Daryl of Manchester, NH; his father, Michael Keith Shearin of Valentines, VA; one brother, Zachary Morris of Manchester, NH; four sisters, Erin Morris and Kaleigh Morris both of Manchester, NH, Brittany Shearin of Chicago, IL and Kaitlin Shearin of Greenville, NC; his maternal grandparents, James and Cheryl Sheedy of Dunkirk, NY; his paternal grandmother, Virginia Shearin of Roanoke Rapids, NC; aunt and uncle, Deborah and Arne Halvorsen and their children, Aiden and Kristian; aunt and uncle, David and Jessica Sheedy and their children Evan and Alex; aunt and uncle Dean and Teresa Shearin and uncle Lee Shearin.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 9, 2016 at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Msgr. J. Kenneth Rush, Fr. Jim Gallagher and Deacon Chris Barrett officiating followed by a reception at the church.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Cedar wood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids, NC.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel, 7404 Timberlake Rd., Lynchburg, VA.
