Don Wayne Dalton

Don Wayne Dalton, 37, of King George, VA, passed away, Thursday, May 31, 2012, at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg. He was the husband of Leslie Dawn Dalton. Born December 23, 1974, in Lynchburg, he was the son of Barbara Underwood Dalton.

Don was the owner of Dalton Professional Flooring. Don was also a coach for the King George Youth Athletic Association, the King George Parks and Recreation and the King George Little League.

Don was preceded in death by his grandparents, William A. and Hallie Underwood; brother-in-law, Robert Allen Trujillo; and his aunt, Fran U. Hutcherson

In addition to his wife and mother, Don is survived by one daughter, Morgan Gray Dalton of King George; one son, Drake Allen Dalton, also of King George; two sisters, Sandra Speck and her husband Bill of Lynchburg and Hope Dickerson and her husband Steve of Hardy; four nieces and nephews, Chris Trujillo, Belle Dickerson, Grant Dickerson and Wyatt Dickerson; grandmother, Atha Bailey; aunts and uncles, Judy Dalton, Janice and Mark Poole and Robert and Lisa Bailey; three cousins, Spencer Bailey, Jill Harliss and Isaac Harliss; and many other loving relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Rev. Frank Casper officiating. Interment will follow at Gretna Burial Park.

The family will receive friends, 6-8 p.m., Monday, June 4, 2012, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel and at other times at the home of Sandra Speck.
