Earl Milton Reynolds, 84, of Lynchburg passed away Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Virginia Baptist Hospital. For 63 years he was the husband of Helen Casey Reynolds. Born June 30, 1927 in Lynchburg, he was a son of the late Carlie Raymond and Nora Estelle Maddox Reynolds. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and retired after 36 years of service with Interstate Brands Corporation as a salesman. Mr. Reynolds was a member of Chestnut Hill Baptist Church and also the custodian of the church. Mr. Reynolds was a member of Travellers Protective Association and United Commercial Travellers. In addition to his wife Helen, he is survived by two sons, Stephen E. Reynolds Sr. and wife Brenda, Marvin R. Reynolds and wife, Laura all of Forest; one brother, Harold R. Reynolds and wife Jessie, of Richmond; 5 grandchildren, Stephen E. Reynolds, Jr. and wife Kari, of Forest, Alexander K. Reynolds also of Forest, Elizabeth Ann Cox and husband Greg, of Altavista, Edwin A. Reynolds, of New York, Ethan R. Reynolds also of Forest; and 2 great-grandchildren, Landon C. Cox and James T. Cox of Altavista and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by sister, Arlene R. Phillips and brother, Aubrey L. Reynolds. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 6 , 2011 in Fort Hill Memorial Park conducted by Rev. Randy J. Bower. The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday at Whitten Timberlake Chapel and tuesday after the service at the home of Marvin and Laura Reynolds.
