She was born September 14, 1926 in Lynchburg, VA to Earl and Lena Padgett. Edith was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Cecil and Lloyd Padgett and sisters, Eula Mitchell and Lucille Ragland.
Edith is survived by ten nieces and nephews and eighteen great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at The Carrington Nursing Home and the staff at Lynchburg General Hospital for the excellent care given to our loved one.
A graveside funeral service will be conducted at Fort Hill Memorial Park at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 10, 2015 with the Rev. Phillip W. Bailey officiating.
