

Edna Spencer Reynolds, 78, of Lynchburg, died Sunday, January 6, 2013. She was the wife of the late Raymond “Slim” Arvin Reynolds. Born November 6, 1934, in Buckingham County, she was the daughter of the late John William Spencer and the late Myrtle Gunter Spencer.
Edna was a retired nurse’s aide for the Central Virginia Training Center, where she served for 35 years, and she was a member of Eastbrook Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband and parents, Edna was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.
Edna is survived by two sisters, Daisy Spencer Sanders of Richmond and Louise Spencer Sensabaugh and her husband James of Rustburg; one brother, James D. Spencer and his wife Linda of Lynchburg; two sisters-in-law (Mrs. Charlie Spencer and Mrs. Douglas Spencer); two brothers-in-law (James Reynolds and Curtis Reynolds); numerous nieces and nephews; and a dear friend, Helen Alderman.
A funeral service will be conducted, 12:00 p.m.., Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at Eastbrook Baptist Church with the Rev. Curtis Walkup and Rev. David Critcher officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends, 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel, and at other times at the residence of Louise Sensabaugh.
