Edwin "Andy" Holmes Williams

He was born in Christiansburg on July 25, 1929, son of the late John Wesley Williams and the late Annie Myers Williams.

Andy was a member of Fort Hill United Methodist Church and was the retired owner of Williams Oil Company. He received his bachelor’s degree from Virginia Polytechnical Institute in 1953 after serving his county in the Army Air Corps during WW II.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Ruth Anne Martin Williams; a son, Jon E. Williams; four brothers, Robert L. Williams, J.B. Williams, Eldred Williams, and Bill Williams and three sisters, Miriam W. Harrison, Doris Williams Curtis and Faye W. Jacobs.

He is survived by his son Stephen M. Williams and his wife Susan as well as his brother, Vernon M. Williams.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Fort Hill United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park with military honors being rendered by American Legion Post #16.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm – 12:45 pm prior to the service at the church.
