

Born in North Haven, Maine, April 2, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Jesse Ames Brown Florence Beverage Brown. She was a graduate from Gorham Normal School in Portland, ME where she earned her B.A. degree. She was a retired teacher from Liberty Christian Academy and was a member of West Lynchburg Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Marjorie Brown and one son, David Douglas Klamm.
She is survived by two daughters, Joyce K. Coble and her husband Marshall of Pleasant Garden, NC, and Vera K. Torres and her husband Leo of Knoxville, TN; two sons, Harvey L. Klamm and his wife Irene of Lynchburg and Roy D. Klamm and his wife Cindy of Bloomington, IN; four grandchildren, Annette K. Caro, Kristy Klamm, Michael Klamm and Angela O’Neal; three great grandchildren, Rikky Caro, Joshua Caro and Savannah O’Neal and one great-great grandson, Luke Caro.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 29, 2010 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Dr. Jim Moon officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 Friday, May 28, 2010 at the funeral home.
