Ellen Rose Gedicks

Ellen Rose Gedicks, 91, died December 3rd, 2015 surrounded by family and caregivers in Commonwealth Assisted Living, Front Royal, VA. Ellen was born September 18, 1924 in NY, NY to Herbert O. Gedicks, Sr. and Amelia Gedicks.

Ellen graduated from Jamaica High School in NY, NY. She worked for the New York Telephone Company for 39 years rising to the position of District Manager. Ellen retired and moved to Virginia in 1989 to be closer to family.

Ellen is survived by her niece, Nancy Haskins (Kevin) and their children Victoria and Stephen of Avon, CT, and her nephews, Herbert Gedicks (Dawn) and their son Chase of Greenlawn, NY, Mark Gedicks (Tracy) and their children Kaitlyn and Mark of Raymond, ME and Scott Gedicks (Wendy) of Front Royal VA.

Ellen was preceded in death by her parents Herbert O. Gedicks, Sr. and Amelia Gedicks, her sister Gloria Tegelman and her husband Arnold, and her brother Herbert O. Gedicks, Jr. and his wife Barbara.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel. Interment will follow at Virginia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service starting at 10 am.
