One of 11 children, Elsie was born on January 8, 1927 in Pittsylvania County to John and Laura Elliott. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Glen Lanier and Steve Lanier.
Left to cherish her memories are her three children, Anne (Ken) Woody of Forest, VA, Bobby (Mimi) Lanier of Hollywood, FL, and Randy (Pam) Lanier of Davie, FL. She was the grandma to six grandchildren, Scott Woody, Shaun Woody, Brandie Lanier, Glen Lanier, Stephanie Lanier and Austin Lanier and great grandma to Karter, Easton-Lanier, Darren, Shane, Miles, and Jackson.
Elsie was the most compassionate mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She exhibited empathy to those in need and she always ended a conversation with “I love you”.
There will be no formal services at this time.
