

Ernest Dan Wagner, 77, of Goode, died Friday, June 12, 2015, at his residence. Twice married he was preceded in death by his first wife of 51 years, Betty Knight Wagner and is survived by his second wife, Muriel Riley Wagner.
Born in Roanoke Co., he is the son of the late Russell Ernest Wagner and the late Eva McClearn Wagner. In addition to his parents and his first wife, he was preceded in death by one sister, Opal W. Branch.
Dan was retired from Aerofin Corp. and was a faithful member of Norwood Baptist Church. He served his country in the U.S. Army Reserve, retiring after 25 years of service.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Alan D. Wagner and his wife, Jill, of Lynchburg, Ernest K. Wagner and his wife, Anne, of Forest and Sandra W. Bryant and her fiance’ Cliff Staton; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 15, 2015, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Pastor Todd Childers officiating. Interment will follow at Virginia Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, June 14, 2015, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
