Esther Jean Thomas

Born on May 10, 1934 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Sidney David Thomas and the late Ruby Mays Thomas. Jean retired from J. Everette Fauber Architects and was a member of Fort Hill United Methodist Church. Her joys in life was helping in her church and singing in the choir.

Jean is survived by her two brothers, S. David Thomas, Jr. and Murrell E. Thomas; four nephews, Michael Edward Thomas and wife Cheryl, Stephen Lester Thomas and wife Tess, Douglas Keith Thomas and wife Kathy, and S. David Thomas, III and wife Connie; three nieces, Cynthia A. Hanowitz and husband David, Vicki Anna Lunsford and husband Kern, and Sharon Lynn Rickmond and husband Larry.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 pm on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday, June 1, 2018 at Fort Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Ronald Litton officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
