

Genivia “Polly” Tyree Pribble, 79, of Evington, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2014 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Kenneth Early Pribble. II Timothy 4:7, I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.
Born August 20, 1935 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Ollie Earl Tyree and Daisy Wood Rowsey and was also preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Wooldridge; two grandchildren, April and Heath Pribble and a son-in-law, Larry P. Hall. Mrs. Pribble was a former nutritionist with the Campbell County School System and was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend to many. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church in Evington.
Mrs. Pribble is survived by three children, Veronica P. Hall, Kenneth Early Pribble, Jr. and wife Heather, and Deborah P. Templeton and husband Michael, all of Evington; two brothers, Ollie Earl Tyree, Jr. and wife Priscilla of Lynchburg and Houston Rowsey and wife Charlotte of Altavista; two sisters-in-law, Myrtle Pribble and Carol Pribble; ten grandchildren, Sherri Goff (Greg), Larry “Buzz” Hall, Jr. (Tammy), Heather Hudson (Tim), Josh Pribble (Amanda), Larke Pribble, Jenny Wojdyla (Ryan), Beth Entsminger (Lee), and Michael Templeton, Jr. (Felicia).
She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren, Brittany Dawson (Greg), CPL G.T. Goff, USMC, Brandon Goff, Jessica Anderson, Jordan Hall, Rylee Hall, Noah Wojdyla, Emalyn Wojdyla, Parker Wojdyla, Zack Entsminger, Karli Entsminger, Kaycie Entsminger, Lucas Entsminger, and Lainey Templeton.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at Salem United Methodist Church with Pastor Charles Schooler officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Mrs. Pribble’s residence, 4844 Lawyers Road.
