George "G.W." " William Cyrus

George "G.W." William Cyrus, 54, of Lynchburg, passed away Friday, December 25, 2020 at his residence. Born September 29, 1966 in Lynchburg, he was the son of Shirley Abbott Reynolds of Campbell County and the late James "Buddy" Thomas Cyrus, Jr. George was a machinist and was a member of Tree of Life Ministries. In addition to his mother, George is survived by three sons, Daniel Cyrus of Evington, William Cyrus and Gavin Cyrus, both of Lynchburg; a sister, Sabrina Mays of Campbell County; uncles, Gene Abbott, Joe Jackson and Johnny Jackson and his feline companion, “Fat Boy”. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with The Rev. Charles Edwards officiating.
