George "Buck" David Hudson

George “Buck” David Hudson, 75 of Lynchburg, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. He was born in Lynchburg on February 22, 1949, son of the late Fletcher G. Hudson and the late Etta C. Hudson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Williams and two brothers, Oscar Hudson and Wayne Hudson. George worked for Delta Star for over 50 years. In his free time he enjoyed going to the beach and spending time with his family. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Judith M. Hudson; four children, Barry Rogers Hudson (Angel), Julie Cox (Bronson), Joel Hudson and Noel Hudson; three brothers, Herbert Hudson (Niomi), Ernest Hudson, and Frank Hudson (Nancy); a sister, Etta Smith (Harvey); three grandchildren, Matt, Kayla and Colby; four great grandchildren, Bryleigh, Maison, River, and Miya. He also leaves behind special friends, Cathy and Tippy Markham as well as Brenda Mitchell. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 22, 2024 from 6 – 8 pm at Whitten Timberlake Chapel where a Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.
