

Glenn Groff Nissly, 61, of Long Island, Virginia went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville. He was the husband of JoAnne M. Nissly.
Born in Lancaster, PA, November 14, 1949, he was a son of the late Ralph H. Nissly and Miriam W. Groff. Glenn was a former employee of WalMart and was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church where he served in the choir.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by six children, Jason E. T. Nissly of Pottsville, PA, Melissa A. Nissly of Lancaster, PA, Matthew A. Nissly of Berkley, VA, Mark A. Nissly of Winchester, VA, Micah A. Nissly and Mathan A. Nissly both of Long Island, VA; two brothers, Mervin Nissly and Ralph Nissly and one sister, Marian Harnly all of Lancaster, PA.
A memorial service celebrating Glenn’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 27, 2011 in the Pate Chapel of Thomas Road Baptist Church led by Pastor Jonathan Falwell and Scott Bullman, minister of music.
