

Born on August 28, 1925 in Grayson County, she was the daughter of the late Muncy Bays Black and Mabel Shupe Black.
Helen was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. Her passions in life were her family and church.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two step-sons, Rodney and Earl Hayslett; a grandson, Tony Hayslett; and numerous brothers and sisters.
She is survived by a granddaughter, Dona Winstead; a grandson, Justin Hayslett; five great grandchildren, Amanda Irving and husband Archie, Autumn Martin and husband Marcus, Chad Winstead, Melanie Roberts and husband Jonathan, and Desiree St. Hilaire and husband Jake; ten great great grandchildren; and numerous other family members.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 1 pm on Friday, August 15, 2014 at Fort Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Gary Vernon officiating.
