Henry "Junior" Thomas Patrick III

Henry Thomas Patrick, III, “Junior”, 84, of Hillcrest Farm, Rustburg, died Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at his residence. He was the husband of Martha Ann Shelton Patrick. Born March 20, 1928, in Portsmouth, VA, he was the son of the late Henry Thomas Patrick, II and the late Mary Frances Wilburn Peak. Henry was also preceded in death by one brother-in-law, William T. Shelton.

Henry was a retired cattle farmer, a lifetime member of Rustburg United Methodist Church, and a 25 year member of the Maryland Virginia Milk Producers Association, where he also served on the Board of Directors for 10 years.

In addition to his wife, Henry is survived by four children, Mary Annette Patrick, Jennifer Diane P. Wilkinson, Henry Thomas Patrick, IV, all of Rustburg and James Robert Patrick (Joyce) of Halifax; one brother, William Wilburn Patrick (Jean) of Oxford, PA; one brother-in-law, David B. Shelton (Julia) of Landis, NC; six grandsons, Joseph P. Carr (Amy), Matthew K. Carr (Erin), Christopher W. Carr, J.R. Patrick, Jr., Henry T. Patrick, V and Andrew T. Patrick; and two great-granddaughters, Olivia J. Carr and Penelope J. Carr.

A funeral service will be conducted, 3:00 p.m., Friday, October 5, 2012, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel, 7404 Timberlake Rd., Lynchburg, VA, 24502 with the Rev. Alan Combs and the Rev. Sung officiating. Interment will be private.

The family will receive friends, 6:30-8:30 p.m., Thursday, October 4, 2012, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
