Howard A. Campbell Jr.

Born March 31, 1931 in Amherst County, he was the son of the late Howard and Nellie Campbell and was also preceded in death by his sister, Lois Maddox. Mr. Campbell was an employee of Meade / Rock Tenn for forty-two years until he retired to care for his wife. He was a member of Forest Road United Methodist Church.

Mr. Campbell is survived by five children, Trisie Snavely and husband Gary of Forest, Becky Gibbs-Saunders of Amherst, Anne Robertson and husband Dale of Evington, Jackie Campbell of Lynchburg, and Howard Campbell and wife Jill of Harrisonburg. He also leaves to cherish his memory, fifteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a brother, Rudell Campbell.

A service to celebrate the life of Howard Campbell will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 25, 2014 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Rev. Bill Price officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
