Born December 7, 1943 in Wayside, WV, to the late Mark Hinchman Dillon and Ada Greene Dillon. Howard was employed for over 20 years by the print shop at First Colony Life Insurance. He retired from Whitten Funeral Home in 2021.
Howard is survived by his son Mark; daughter, Terri Flowers (Mike); sisters Rita Martin (Jerry) and Wanda Belcher; grandsons, Chad Dillon (Sarah), Nicholas Dillon, Spencer Waters, Shay Flowers, and Sam Flowers; special granddaughter, Mary Grace Falls and his first great granddaughter, Caroline Dillon.
A service celebrating Howard’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with the Rev. Roger Roller officiating. Interment will follow at the North Bedford Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, it was Howards request that you make donations to the Roger Roller Evangelistic Association.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of the 4 East Oncology unit at Lynchburg General Hospital for their excellent and attentive care, during Howard’s illness.
