Imogene Young McMillan

Imogene Young McMillan, 62, of Evington, died, Monday, February 6, 2012. She was the wife of Daniel B. McMillan. Born January 9, 1950, in White Lake, NC, she was the daughter of Virginia Russ Thomas and the late Eugene Thomas.

Imogene was a telemarketer for Liveops Company , and a member of Blue Ridge Community Church. Imogene was a very compassionate lady always putting other first. She was very spiritual and Godly, and was always known as a family oriented person.

In addition to her father, Imogene was preceded in death by her first husband, Steve Young and her brother, Jerry Thomas.

In addition to her husband and mother, Imogene is survived by her two sons, Michael Eugene Young and Paul Thomas Young, both of Lynchburg; her three sisters, Kathy Thomas Howell and husband Jerry of Apex, NC, Martha Thomas Knox and husband Benny of Greenville, NC and Lisa Thomas Haislip and husband James, all of Greensville, NC; her first mother-in-law, Alice Walter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted, 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 11, 2012, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel conducted by Pastor Mark Wilkerson. Interment will follow 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 12, 2012, at the Thomas Family Cemetery in White Lake, NC.

The family will receive friends following the funeral service until 11:30 a.m., Saturday, February 11, 2012, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
