He was born on July 9, 1932 in Lynchburg, son of the late Albert and Mary Hudson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 1 sister, Katherine H. Wade; 3 brothers, Albert Sydney Hudson, Jr., Lawrence Curtis Hudson, and Warren Henry Hudson Sr.; his longtime companion, Delores Hasbrouck as well as 2 of her children, Richard and Dorothy Hasbrouck.
James served his country proudly in the United States Army and was retired from Circa Challenger.
Survivors include 1 son, James C. Hudson, Jr.; 2 daughters, Charlotte M. Bromaghim and Mary Lynn Donohue; 1 brother, Woody Lee Hudson and wife Lois; his caregiver and niece, Rebecca Eubank as well as ten other nieces and nephews; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He is also survived by 3 of Delores’s children, Harold Hasbrouck, Christine Nemeth, and Rosemary Parishy.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Rev. Ed Vogt. Burial will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 1 hour prior to the service.
