There was Jim Moon, Jim Soward, and Jim ________? of the 1960's. I can't remember little Jim's last name. He was a Sunday School teacher and had several health problems. He died in the late 60's or early 70's. When Jerry preached his funeral, he called him one of his closest friends.

My deepest sympathy & prayers for the Moon family as he has gone from life here on earth to life forever in Heaven with Jesus. No more pain walking hand in hand with Jesus on those streets of gold.I know you will miss him. Hold on to all beautiful memories you had with Jim no one can take those from you. He was a wonderful servant of our Lord Jesus  and a wonderful servant of Thomas Rd Baptist Church. What a honor to have known Pastor Moon for the last 40 years and what an inspiration he was to Robert and me.  He not only was our co-pastor, Sunday School teacher, but what a dear friend he was to us. Lots of love and prayers to Delores and all the family. Heaven has now gained another saint.

A constant source of encouragement and inspiration, he will be missed!  Jim was a part of Becky and my life for over 41 years; he was one of the  most faithful and loyal servants of God that I have ever known.

Always been thankful for Bro. Jim. Kroger transferred me to Lynchburg in 1966. He was the first pastor to visit me. I will always remember Bro. Jim's faithfulness.

For thirty years my wife and I have known Jim and heard his Bible teaching and preaching. Seeing him at Bob Evans restaurant with Delores was always a blessing. Our son Dan used to work with his son at the Old Time Gospel building years ago. How we will miss him!!!  Dave & Alice Espenscheid

I first met Jim through my mother when he and Delores worked at GE before he became co-pastor. i have never met a more gracious, thoughtful,caring person than Jim. i know that he and my mother are in heaven having great discussions on the bible. I will miss him terribly but i know that one day i will see him again. Delores Cathy, Scott i am praying for you. let me know if i can do anything for you. Father's day is sunday remember you had a godly Father and husband in Jim.
